Fresh-cut Spring Lilac's
Lilac's do not flourish in this part of California mainly because of the lack of freezing tempratures in the winter. Lilacs prefer to be barried in the snow. However if you grow lots of varieties and lots of plants you will get some nice blooms.
Lilac season varies and is very weather dependant. Not only are they picky about winter they also need almost perfect spring weather to coax them to bloom. Our season typically starts in late March thru May.
My most beloved lilac fans are at the Grand Lake Farmers Market so they get bulk of my harvest which is always in limited amounts.
I will be creating a lilac e-mail list where lilac lovers can sighn up for a weekly e-mail to notify them of the availibility.
